Have a large pot, but don't want to waste money by filling it all the way up with potting soil? Use pinecones! They are all natural, do a great job of filling the extra space, are lighter than dirt (lighter pots are easier to move) and they improve drainage. The best part is the pinecones slowly biodegrade and add nutrients to the soil... and they're free!
